Scoot4Nepal: An Epic Ride for Clean Water
This November, Tony Hobden — CEO of Shiva Charity, and a complete scooter novice — is riding 1,000km across Nepal's toughest roads on a small pink scooter. It's not about speed. It's about water.
Every year, thousands of children in Nepal's Bagmati region fall ill from unsafe drinking water at school. They miss lessons, fall behind, and worry their families. Our goal is simple: install 50 clean water systems in rural schools, each one serviced for 10 years, so children can drink safely, stay healthy, and stay in school.
Just £1,500 brings clean water to an entire school — enough for 300 children a day, with extra to carry home to their families — for a whole decade.
Tony rides from 9–19 November 2026. Every mile he covers helps fund the next school. You can donate what you can, or partner with us as a business.
Clean water isn't a quick fix. It's a lasting change — one school, one system, one scooter mile at a time.
